Since Dec. 15, 2021, the state reported an additional 21,259 COVID-19 cases, totaling 992,851 for the entire pandemic. Also, 236 new deaths were reported by the state in the last seven days, 8 fewer than the previous week, totaling 10,254 for the entire pandemic. Currently, Becker County reported 88 active cases, a decrease of 14 active cases since Dec. 15. Otter Tail County reported 5 new COVID-related deaths this week, a county total of 140 for the entire pandemic. Statewide COVID-19 data is not being released on Saturdays and Sundays.

Some details were murky, particularly around the levy the county set for the county's housing agency.

The county was reporting 110 total COVID-related deaths as of Nov. 9; just one month later, on Dec. 10, the county reported 134 COVID-related deaths — an increase of 24 fatalities over those four weeks.

Since Dec. 8, 2021, the state reported an additional 23,236 COVID-19 cases, totaling 971,667 for the entire pandemic, a 29% decrease over the previous week. Also, 244 new deaths were reported by the state in the last seven days, 48 fewer than last week, totaling 10,018 for the entire pandemic. Currently, Becker County reported 102 active cases, a decrease of 40 active cases since Dec. 8. Otter Tail and Becker Counties each reported 3 new COVID-related deaths this week. Statewide COVID-19 data is not being released on Saturdays and Sundays.
