Gratitude takes practice. How come health care workers aren't better at it?
Working in health care can lead to burnout, but health care providers should strive to maintain a grateful perspective, as it is a true spiritual practice that should be nurtured daily, despite the chaos, mess, and emotional charge of the job, to avoid becoming immune to the job-inspired gratitude and to remember the simple gift of life and the struggles of patients.
