A pipe bomb outside of an elementary school. At 1 00 this Afternoon Police received a report of a suspicious device outside of the front office near the parking lot. Police responded and determined the device to be a pipe bomb. It looked like it had been lit but did not go off. We dont know if it was planted while there were people here but it was certainly planted with what we believe was intent to do damage to the school. The walnut creek bomb squad was called in.
