Chief from the Fire Department to see how it unfolded. People who live out here could see the big plume of black smoke billowing from miles away. The report of the fire was that one of the Engine Companies doing an inspection, they saw the column of smoke and we were on scene in a short amount of time. First report from them was at 11 07. When they arrived on the scene, they had heavy fire conditions coming from the twostory building. Everyone was able to get out safely before crews arrived. Police have closed off a portion of the park as well as inunder lane and boxer boulevard which is closer to the clayton side of the park. Police got the call of a female body floating in the duck pond of newhall park at about 2 35 this morning. When they arrived they found the womens body floating near the edge.
