New Martin guitar exhibit reveals the history of the famed D-28, revered by country and folk musicians alike
Hank Williams played one. So did Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley and John Lennon and Paul McCartney. It is now the instrument of choice for the likes of Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley and Marcus Mumford. "It" is the Martin D-28, the "Dreadnought," the acoustic guitar by which others are judged.
