The former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder is back in South Africa after a short stint with Mbabane Highlanders in Eswatini. Sangweni is set to return to the Chilli Boys for a third stint after turning out for the club during and after his time with Sundowns and Pirates a few seasons ago. Highlanders senior official Benson Dlamini has confirmed the possibility of the 31-year-old joining the Port Elizabeth side. Matete last played for University of Pretoria after returning from Botswana, where he turned out for Township Rollers. The former Baroka midfielder is now expected to team up with former Orlando Pirates midfielder Thamsanqa Sangweni at Highlanders. Rantie was due to join Mbabane Highlanders in eSwatini after the two parties initially agreed in principle for the player to join the Swazi giants. Highlanders have already signed former Bucs midfielder Thamsanqa Sangweni, who made his debut for Inkunzi during their league match against Royal Leopards in Mbabane over the weekend. Highlanders boss Ally Kgomongwe has now confirmed that Rantie will no longer be joining his team after the 30-year-old called off his trip and cited “family commitments”. ....
