And following a two-week trial in April and May 2000, prosecutors successfully convinced a jury that one woman, Judy Kirby, caused the destruction on purpose. Three of the kids killed in the crash were Kirbyâs own: Jacob, 5, Joney, 9, and Jordan, 12. Kirbyâs nephew, Jeremy Young, 10, also lost his life.
