FSU to Honor Edwin 'Nick' Harris Sunday vs. Miami
TALLAHASSEE – Florida State will recognize Edwin ‘Nick’ Harris – the first African-American to play varsity baseball at FSU – in an on-field ceremony against No. 6 Miami Sunday at Dick Howser Stadium. Harris, a New Jersey native from Camden who now lives in Williamstown, played for Florida State in the 1967 and 1968 seasons. He transferred to FSU from St. Petersburg College, where he is a member of the Titans Hall of Fame.
