Lexington is not letting Patriots’ Day go by without a proper celebration.
“Everything was shut down in 2020,” said June Baer, chair of the Town Celebrations Committee. “But all agreed this year must be different.”
In the weeks leading up to Patriots’ Day, TCC is sponsoring a Miles and Smiles competition, a “Door to Patriotic Spirit” competition and historical Zoom seminars. For Patriots’ Day on April 19, TCC will create a virtual Patriots’ Day Parade to be aired on LexMedia at 2 p.m.
The video begins on the morning of April 19, 1775. At least two men of color were among them. ....
