I absolutely cannot bear to write about the ‘Covid crisis’ anymore. I delete any and every WhatsApp message dealing with Covid and the latest breakthroughs. No television Covid coverage or panel discussions for me. Am I a terrible person? I think not. Like millions of others around the globe, I have reached the tipping point. And deadened myself to Covid. I plead with family and friends — please spare me! I cannot handle bad news anymore — emotionally or psychologically. Whatever happens next, will happen. Whether or not I have views on the subject. Friends and family will get affected. Having lost so many dear ones recently, I am at saturation point. Talk to me about anything else. Distract me with frivolity. Entertain me with silly jokes. But — no more Covid!
