Be somebody in the cockpit a regular crew or one of the regular cruise or somebody who knew the airplane was up there made these turns and repositioning had to be somebody that was experienced, somebody who did not really know the airplane couldn t do all that. jenna: what peter just told us was interesting where the zones with not a lot of radar or a way to find the plane. if you are a transponder in her system turned off, the communication back to navigation, the navigation communication, what about the pilot reaching out through radio calling for help if something went wrong. can you walk us through what happened? that is one of the things that bothers me, we get a lot of information. how much of it is true and accurate? ....

A couple of cities, major cities and there were some towns and villages. is it possible those signals could have got ton a cell phone tower? again, if people were awake, trying to use their phone and they were flying that low, it is certainly possible they got to that tower. however, it s also possibly they weren t arable to officially communica communicate. it s not just sending the radio waves, we have to actually be in touch long enough to have a little conversation. those onboard were able to have conversations because the planes were flying very low in density populated areas when their calls were received. but experts say most of those calls were not made from cell phones. but airline phones which use radio or satellite technology. a technology that has been phased out for the most part because of its high cost. but malaysia flight 370 did have air phones in business class. they might have been deliberately disabled along with the transponder and other communication systems. ....

Deliberate act by the pilot. the flight s original plan took it to beijing. about 40 minutes into the flight, the plane suddenly turned west. why? the new york times said whoever changed the time path did so by typing into the plane s computer or gps rather than turning the plane manually. the airline said this auto pilot computer was preprogramming for beiji beijing, meaning the new coordinates were inputted during flight, suggesting a pilot did it, not someone inexperienced who entered the cockpit. also new information about when this happened. after takeoff, things looked fine. the copilots says all right, good night, and thai military see the plane headed north around 1:22. but just about then, a minute earlier, the transponder, which allows radar to identify the plane, the speed, the direction, the altitude, it stops. six minutes later, thai officials say 370 turned west. at 1:37, a second computer stops trance mismittin ....

Sitting at the gate, and we don t know if they changed it at the gate or on the plane, but for two pilots to change that route, eric, at the gate would mean that the pilots had to be in on it. acars sends the pilots the route. they sit at the gate, they confirm it, it s usually completely on point. for them to change it at the gate, they would have had to both be in on it. if they changed it in the sky, one pilot could have, you know, been pressed. gone to the men s room. gone to the men s room, like the egypt flight in 1999. it makes you think it has to be one of three things. either if it s a hijacking situation, the hijacker did not know enough to tell them to turn the transponder off, right? and maybe the pilots left it on, hopefully to stay in contact. or they left it on or they were sloppy, if these pilots were the ones hijacking, maybe they forgot and left the transponder on. we talked this week about if it was terrorism, there s been no claim of responsibility. remember, ....
