A 19 year old Malta Bend man facing sex related felonies involving a juvenile remains in custody. The mother of a 15-year-old juvenile reported to authorities that her daughter alleged that she had been raped, on two separate occasions by a family member, identified as Jayden Browder. Browder is charged with two Unclassified sex-related felonies. Bond is set at $250,000 cash only. Browder pleaded not guilty to the charges on Monday, April 26. Two Hughesville residents are facing felony charges for allegedly forcing their way into an apartment and one of them assaulting the apartment’s resident on August 6 in Sweet Springs. According to a police report, the resident said she was woken from sleep to loud banging on her door. She said as soon as she attempted to open the door, it was forced open, knocking her backwards.
