The UConn Board of Trustees voted unanimously Wednesday morning to appoint interim president Radenka Maric as its 17th president. Maric takes over following a year of leadership instability at UConn, which has seen several president changes since Thomas Katsouleas suddenly resigned from the post last summer, after less than three years on the job.
The University of Connecticut has selected Laurinda Jaffe, Rachel O'Neill, and Richard Pomp as Board of Trustees Distinguished Professors, the university's highest faculty honor.
Interim President Radenka Maric appoints Pamir Alpay to serve as interim Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship at UConn.
Maric brings experience in mentoring, private industry, and international scholarship to new role
