When the Santa Cruz County Fair is described as "fun for the whole family," as it frequently is, there are many elements one could point to. There are the rides, a plethora of foods and animals, but there are also acts tailor-made for the younger crowds while also providing their guardians with a sense of nostalgia.
The backdrop might have been gray, but energy was high as the Santa Cruz County Fair opened for the first day of the five-day extravaganza the community looks forward to every year.
