The new tags are "related to gender, sexual orientation, race, nationality, ability, mental health, and more". Updated on 23 May 2021 Twitch is introducing 350+ new community tags that will enable streamers not just to tag the content of the games they're playing, but also "who they are and what they [stand] for", too. As Engadget reports, Twitch has discovered over 7.5 million bot accounts have been inflating both the follower and view counts of legitimate streamers. Work is now underway to delete all of the identified bot accounts, which will have the side effect of lowering follower and view counts.
