Squadron Leader Mark Long gained his "wings" in 2004 at RAF Linton-on-Ouse, North Yorkshire, was described as "a humble, kind, generous family man as well as an outstanding fighter pilot"
During the Easter holiday period, the RAF detachment in the Falkland Islands continued to deliver air operations in the South Atlantic. One element of the air operations is a Quick Reaction Alert response carried out by the Typhoons of 1435 Flight.
The Royal Air Force has deployed Typhoon FGR4 and F-35B Lightning jets to Finland, and Typhoon FGR4 jets to Sweden, for integrated fighter aircraft training as part of an increased presence in the region.
