stop the clock to make sure there is an articulate a factual reasons that she's extending that deadline, because it's not just the defendant, but it's also the public that has a right to a speedy trial and that's because the public has an interest in holding someone accountable if they've been charged with a crime. they have an interest in making sure that witnesses are available and that evidence is available. and so, she has to balance both of those interests. so, i imagine that on august 28th, when she gets together with the parties, they will look at what's needed in this case, they have adequate preparation, but no more than is necessary. , so that the public can get that speedy trial that it has a right to as well. and so, we will see -- i think it's absolutely reasonable to try this case. sometime in the next year, spring, summer of 2024, and certainly not passed november of 2024. >> téa, this week, we had the a fani willis on camera for the first time answering questions about whether or not she had read the jack smith indictment,

to be all about. what's left on the vine to wither is all of the structure you need in state by state, to win it. >> right, all of the things that are an sexy, but fundamentally when campaigns. téa, trump now boasting he needs, quote, one more indictment to win. i wonder what you make of that rhetoric, when he could get that wish out of georgia. >> well, what trump is looking at is the polls that show, after each indictment, there is a big segment of the republican base that becomes even more supportive of him, even more loyal to him, even more convinced that these indictments are a, quote, political witch hunt against donald trump. so, for him, each indictment kind of solidifies his position as the leader of the republican party. so, in a lot of ways, they are good for him in a primary. i don't think he's thinking yet how these indictments might play out in a general election.
