The Delhi high court was referring to a speech delivered by the scholar-activist Umar Khalid in Amravati in 2020, while hearing his appeal against refusal of bail.
'We will not respond to violence with violence. We will not respond to hate with hate. If they spread hate, we will respond to it by spreading love.'
The court is convinced that the ‘Muslim critical mass’ has no real grievances, only ulterior motives, and is out to create trouble.
