CORRECTION NOTICE, 11 February 2021
The phase "The use of nanomaterials remains unregulated and they do not show up in lists of ingredients" has been corrected to "The use of nanomaterials is challenging to regulate because of their small size." The correction pertains to the lead paragraph and to the second last comment by Dr Fazel Monikh. In addition, the lead paragraph's analogy between the long-term impacts of nanomaterials and COVID-19 has been removed, and the specification "...but we do not know if they pass the brain barrier" has been added to Dr Fazel Monikh's comment relating to the accumulation of nanomaterials in the brain of the organisms studied. Added are also the specifications "size and shape must be also measured" and "using standard methods" in sections that deal with how nanomaterials are measured.
