Testimony? yeah. our understanding of eyewitness identifications has just changed tremendously since 1978. i think most people think if an eyewitness says they saw something, it must be true. it must be the most reliable. we know tra stranger identifications are some of the most unreliable. in mr. strickland s case, what was most interesting the victim knew mr. strickland. she didn t identify him. gave two other names. that actually shows that it wasn t him. that s exculpatory evidence. she only made an identification later after other people came to him and said, doesn t he hang out with those other people? that s what we know, that suggestive nature changes the way our memory looks at things. to hear the prosecutor say they wouldn t charge that case today. why such a challenge to right the wrongs in a case like this? i think that s a great question we hope those who fight ....
