St. Martin News Network - VMT hosts two Vaccination Pop-Ups at the Festival Village on Friday and the Kimsha Beach parking lot on Saturday.

PHILIPSBURG (DCOMM):--- On Friday, July 16th, there will be a vaccination Pop-Up at the Festival Village, Pond Island, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Additionally, on Saturday, July 17th, another vaccination Pop-Up will be organized on the Kimsha Beach Parking lot in Simpson Bay from 9:00 AM until supplies last.
The Vaccine Management Team (VMT) would like to encourage everyone, especially those working nearby, to come by during their lunch break or after work to get their vaccination against COVID-19.
The Collective Prevention Service (CPS) will also be open on Friday from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM. The Belair Community Center and Caribbean Cinemas will not be offering vaccinations on Friday.

PHILIPSBURG (DCOMM):--- At the Festival Village on Friday, July 9th, and Sucker Garden on Saturday, July 10th, combined, 783 persons got vaccinated, of which 630 persons came for their first dose. After this great turnout at the last two vaccination popups, the Vaccine Management Team (VMT) decided to extend the possibility of getting the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
At both vaccination Popups, it was understood that many persons on the island are willing to get vaccinated but have not done so because of previous doubts or inconveniences.
It is in the best interest of everyone on Sint Maarten to get as many persons as possible in the country protected against the COVID-19 virus. This is even more important now that the Delta variant of the COVID-19 virus (which is twice as contagious as the Alpha/British variant) has now also been detected on Sint Maarten.

PHILIPSBURG (DCOMM):--- On June 15th, the Caribbean Cinemas in Cole Bay opened up as a temporary replacement for the Belair Community Center for the administering of the COVID-19 vaccine.
On Friday, is the last day that you can get your COVID-19 vaccine at the Caribbean Cinemas in Cole Bay. After the weekend, on Monday, July 5th, the Belair Community Center will reopen again from Monday to Thursday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. On Thursday, July 1st, all vaccination locations are closed due to Emancipation Day.
The Vaccine Management Team (VMT) encourages everyone who has not received their vaccine against COVID-19 to make use of the opportunity while it’s still easily accessible and free of charge. The vaccine is available for all persons 16 years and up, or 12 years and up with underlying conditions. You have until July 9th to come for your first dose of the Pfizer vaccine so that you can receive your second dose before the end of July.
