Zoe Jones, 2, is not bothered by the obstacles she faces as a child with a severe form of cerebral palsy.
Two-year-old Zoe Jones communicates with her eyes, and screams to let her auntie and grandma know she doesn’t want something. She gets irritated wearing her medical equipment (arm splints, leg braces, and a torso) because she wants to be independent and do things on her own.
“When Zoe was diagnosed with her severe medical conditions, doctors told us to not expect much for her — to just make her ‘comfortable,’” said Zoe’s grandma, Anitra Jones of West Palm Beach. “Zoe has defied those odds and taught me that no matter how matter how high the odds are stacked up against you to never give up.”

A child will get a personalized set of “magic wheels” at an event Saturday that celebrates inclusion for people with disabilities.
Two-year-old Zoe is described by those who love her as a bright, energetic and free-spirited child. She was diagnosed with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy at 6 months old and she’s unable to sit, stand, walk, or talk.
Zoe will receive a special surround for her stroller-type wheelchair with a surprise theme that will highlight her favorite things. It is handmade by Kings Point Woodshop, Little Wolf Carpentry and Chariots of Love, Home Depot, and designed to accommodate Zoe’s unique disabilities.
