Emma E. Simmons. FRIENDSHIP — Emma E. Simmons, 84, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2021 at her home in Friendship. She was born September 7, 1936 in Thomaston, Maine, the daughter of Esther (Swanson) and Walter Matson. Emma attended Thomaston High School – “The Sea Breeze” — and graduated in the Class of 1954. Her first job as a teenager was at Wallace’s Market, in Friendship. She was a 33-year employee at Sylvania, in Waldoboro.
