The Japanese 30-taper machining centre manufacturer Brother has had a machine in its portfolio with a one-metre X-axis for nearly a decade. The third iteration of this model, launched in April 2023, has seen the specification uprated in several key areas to boost capacity and versatility.
Launched in October 2021 by Brother at the EMO exhibition in Milan, the new Speedio W1000Xd1 30-taper, vertical machining centre has a 1m X-axis, like the S1000X1 model that it supersedes.
