Weekend fire at Why Not Bar and Cafe causes $1-million in damages

An early morning fire at Why Not Cafe and Bar on Sunday caused $1 million in damages, says Edmonton Fire Rescue Services (EFRS).
Emergency crews were called to the bar near 85 Avenue and 109 Street at 6:43 a.m. Sunday after a motorist passing by saw smoke coming from the building’s roof. When they arrived, firefighters declared a working structure fire and called for back up, an EFRS news release said Wednesday.
