Over the weekend, Gaylord residents cleared away the wreckage of their homes in the aftermath of a large tornado that swept through Otsego County on Friday. Winds reaching 150 miles per hour caused two deaths and more than 40 injuries.
Friday's tornado left two people dead and 44 people injured in Otsego County.
Shock at the damage soon turned into an outpouring of support from the community. All day Saturday, neighbors arrived on foot or by bike to help with the cleanup. Some came to town from as far away as Sault Ste. Marie and the Lansing area.
