CRANBURY – After a long wait, the borough is getting its own library. The Cranbury Public Library Foundation hosted an official groundbreaking ceremony last week at 30 Park Place West, where the new library will be situated just off Main Street. At just under 12,000 square feet, the library will have room for adult, teen and children’s materials as well as a large program room and community meeting areas. Also included is an archive to hold the Cranbury Historical and Preservation Society’s files and materials. Construction is scheduled to begin this spring. “This is the culmination of many years of strategic planning from dedicated board members in conjunction with our community, said Kirstie Venanzi, the library’s board of trustees president. “The board has been actively working on this project for over ten years and we are so excited to begin construction.” ....
