britain's domination in the women's kl2 finals at the para—canoe world championships continues, thanks to paralympic champion charlotte henshaw. she won today's final in just over 48 seconds— for her fifth gold in the event and her eighth world title overall. it was a british one two, with emma wiggs, taking silver. gb have won gold and silver at the last eight editions. i caught up with charlotte henshaw earlier. i started by asking her how she is feeling. i'm pretty sore at the moment, actually, it has not been long since i raced. immensely happy to win another world championship gold medal and more importantly, secure the slot for that event for the paralympic games next year. that was myjob coming in, the team all have jobs this week and that was mine. this is absolutely the first step on the ladder towards the paralympic games. we can't be selected if we don't have the quota spots come next spring.
