byte is and that answer. with us this morning we have mike barnacle, mara gay, georgeway and staff writer david from. a lot going on this morning. we start with that historic decision. the colorado supreme court has ruled donald trump is disqualify ed from holding office again after determining he engaged in insurrection on january 6th, 2021. the fourth ruling keeps the former president off the state s presidential primary lot next year. the court stayed its decision until january 4th to allow for any further appeals, and the trump team is already vowing they will be doing just that. but the fourth is just one day before the deadline for the state to print its presidential primary ballots. colorado secretary of state discussed the tight timeline in an interview last night on msnbc. if they take the case, we will make clear to the court that the deadlines and the timelines. the bigger thing is if the court does not take the case, as of january 5th, if the u.s. supreme ....

jack smith to accelerate a decision on donald trump s claim of presidential immunity in his federal election criminal interference case. now, the one sentence reply the order from the supreme court reads, quote, the petition for writ of serzh yry is denied. in other words we re going not going to the appeals process could give donald trump ample time to further delay this case, which is of course supposed to go to trial just a few months from now, the first week of march. trump may now try to delay the start of the trial until the calender begins to encroach on next november s election. in which if he s the nominee the next court could ask to put the case on pause until the next presidential contest is decide. and should trump win that election the case will go away entirely which is to be clear and we all understand including the people on the supreme court exactly what he wants. although i have to say it is stel unknown if trump will be allowed to meaningfully del ....
