Leaders in love nest | Leadership & Management

Love is the ultimate leadership tool. The reason is simple; there is a nexus between love and leadership. The objective of love is to make its object better. Hence, love is never passive but rather passionate; it never takes a rest until its purpose is accomplished. Similarly, true leadership is focused on bringing out the best in people and situations. As observed by Harvey S. Firestone, founder of the Firestone Tyre and Rubber Company, the growth and development of people is the highest calling of leadership. So, love-driven leadership is result-oriented because it is mutually beneficial. It is not aimed at using people to achieve an end but improving the lot of the people as a prerequisite for achieving predetermined corporate goals. So, a leader that is determined to make his people better can only achieve that if he has love as his foundation. ....

There are older stories here along Bryan County’s marshes and creeks and river, to be sure.
The Guale Indians were in this part of the world as recently as the 1600s, and the Spanish and English and Africans followed. There were rice plantations and slavery, and a bloody war that ultimately spelled the end of both. ....

Walters Trust gives to local nonprofits for causes ranging from food distribution to anti-racism programs

Ebenezer Baptist Church has traditionally offered free meals through its Feed the Hungry program several times a month.
But during the coronavirus pandemic, the congregation, at 701 N. Lime St., expanded the program to several times a week.
Unfortunately, the refrigerator at the church broke down recently. And of course, the grocery bill exploded.
Ebenezer knew where to turn: the Unitarian Universalist Church of Lancaster, 538 W. Chestnut St., which has a grant program — the Walters Trust — to help local congregations in need.
