Person found dead near Broadway Bridge died from stab wounds, Portland police say Updated Feb 21, 2021; Facebook Share Portland police identified the victim as 57-year-old James Setty. Officers responded about 2:12 a.m. to a report of a medical check for a person on the east end of the Broadway Bridge. The officers discovered a dead person with “suspicious injuries,” police initially said. The Oregon State Medical Examiner’s Office determined Setty died from stab wounds and ruled the death a homicide, police said Saturday night.
