Health officials across seven Bay Area counties on Friday recommended that everyone — even vaccinated people — wear masks during indoor activities like shopping.
That goes beyond the guidance given by the state and federal governments, which say that vaccinated people need not wear masks in most indoor settings.

Federal regulators Monday added a warning to the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine after a small number of people out of millions who received the one-dose shot developed a rare but serious neurological disorder.
The Food and Drug Administration has identified 100 cases of people developing Guillain-Barré syndrome, which can cause muscle weakness and paralysis, after receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. That’s a tiny fraction of the nearly 13 million Johnson & Johnson inoculations given so far.

COVID-19 deaths have nearly bottomed out in the Bay Area, with an average of one new death reported a day for the nine-county region — the lowest number since the start of the pandemic and a dramatic drop from the winter surge, when nearly 70 people were dying every day.

Study suggests cell phones sharply increase tumor risk – Investment Watch

Sharing is Caring!
BERKELEY, Calif. – New UC Berkeley research draws a strong link between cell phone radiation and tumors, particularly in the brain.
Researchers took a comprehensive look at statistical findings from 46 different studies around the globe and found that the use of a cell phone for more than 1,000 hours, or about 17 minutes a day over a ten year period, increased the risk of tumors by 60 percent.
Researchers also pointed to findings that showed cell phone use for 10 or more years doubled the risk of brain tumors.
Joel Moskowitz, director of the Center for Family and Community Health with the UC Berkeley School of Public Health conducted the research in partnership with Korea’s National Cancer Center, and Seoul National University. Their analysis took a comprehensive look at statistical findings from case control studies from 16 countries including the U.S., Sweden, United Kingdom, Japan, Korea, and New Zealand.
