According to The East Bay Times, Marguerite passed away on November 18, 2020, in Los Angeles. Marguerite was well-known for her role of Mamie Johnson on Y&R, but she also appeared in other popular series, including Sanford and Son, Sanford, and Dynasty.
On Sanford, Marguerite portrayed Evelyn Lewis, the girlfriend of Redd Foxx’s character.
Marguerite was born in New Orleans in 1931 and graduated from UC Berkeley in 1948. Marguerite was a recreation and entertainment director with the US Special Services in Germany between 1954-1959, and in 1969, she moved to Los Angeles, eventually bursting onto the television scene with roles in popular series such as The Bill Cosby Show, The Odd Couple, and Bewitched. ....
