Salmon farmers increasingly look to tap USD 1 trillion green bond market

Chilean salmon farmer Ventisqueros’ announcement at the end of 2020 that it had landed a USD 120 million (EUR 98.7 million) green loan with banks Rabobank and DNB is the latest in a trend, as fish farmers have begun accessing financing with an environmental focus tied to it – in a global green bond market that may reach USD 1 trillion (EUR 822 billion) by year’s end.
Green bonds are considered “theme bonds,” meaning they have a designated goal for the investment. In this case, they aim to mitigate climate change or promote sustainable development, and may include financing for projects that look to increase energy efficiency and sustainable agriculture; improve fishery and forestry, clean transportation, clean water, and sustainable water management; prevent pollution or protect aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems; or finance the cultivation of environmentally friendly t ....

House Votes On Articles Of Impeachment Against President Trump
Nine members of Congress, appointed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, will soon walk through the Capitol and deliver the article of impeachment against former President Trump to the Senate. These members, known as the impeachment managers, will prosecute the case against the former president in the Senate.  
Pelosi said the House will officially send the article of impeachment against Mr. Trump to the Senate on Monday. We are respectful of the Senate s constitutional power over the trial and always attentive to the fairness of the process, noting that the former president will have had the same amount of time to prepare for trial as our managers, Pelosi said in a statement on Saturday. When Kentucky lawmakers returned to Frankfort this month, they immediately moved to reduce Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear’s power to respond to disasters and infectious disease outbreaks. 
The Republicans who control the state’s legislature want emergency orders to end after 30 days, unless the General Assembly votes to extend them, and to limit the governor’s ability to close businesses and schools this year.
