By Zac Wassink | Last updated 7/13/21 Goaltender Josef Korenar has one more reason to celebrate Shark Week. The San Jose Sharks announced Tuesday they ve re-signed Korenar via a one-year contract. Korenar, 23, made his NHL debut in April and appeared in 10 total games for the Sharks this spring. He went 3-5-0 with a 3.17 goals-against average and a .899 save percentage and also spent time with the San Jose Barracuda of the American Hockey League. Josef took a big step in his development last season, showing his athleticism and awareness in net while appearing in the NHL for the first time, Sharks general manager Doug Wilson said in the prepared statement. He also delivered a strong performance in the AHL s Pacific Division playoffs, leading AHL goaltenders in goals-against average and helped the Barracuda to the semifinals. ....
