Over 52,000 locals were placed into professionals, managers and executives (PMET) level jobs, traineeships or attachments, Minister Josephine Teo has shared.
Singapore’s Minister for Manpower, Josephine Teo recently (10 May) answered a Parliamentary question by MP Tin Pei Ling pertaining to whether professionals, managers and executives (PMETs) have benefitted from Workforce Singapore (WSG) and other government schemes. To that, she answered: yes, more than 60% of unemployed locals secured permanent employment through the government’s career schemes.
In her written answer, Minister Teo highlighted that, as of today, approximately 5,300 locals have benefitted from SGUnited Traineeships and Mid-Career Pathway programmes. Over 52,000 locals were placed into professionals, managers and executives (PMET) level jobs, traineeships or attachment
