Detective's warning to abusers after arrest of 'most wanted'

ALMOST 20 people on Oxford police s most wanted list have been arrested in a week-long blitz.
Among the 18 arrested by officers this month were wanted on suspicion of stalking, robbery and assault.
Det Ch Insp James Senior of Oxford CID, who led the operation, said officers had managed to find a number of suspected domestic abusers.
Asked what the operation meant for abusers and victims, the senior detective told the Oxford Mail: “For perpetrators, clearly, if you’re the type of person who’s willing to commit these types of violent acts or be abusive financially or emotionally then there is a very good chance we will come into contact and we will take every action available to us to arrest you. We will take positive action. ....

The law would make ‘intentional trespass’ a criminal offence.
Under the proposals, families living on unauthorised encampments could face time behind bars, a hefty fine or the removal of their home.
The legislation has already received cross-party approval in Oxfordshire after dozens of traveller groups set up camps on playing fields and car parks across the county in recent years, costing the taxpayer hundreds of thousands of pounds in legal bills and clean-up fees.

Man and woman fined for going into a house in Banbury

Sergeant Sarah Nash, of the Banbury problem solving team said: “A closure order was issued at this property to protect the vulnerable resident from exploitation and local drug users.
“Despite knowing this, Nuttall and Hassall continued to enter the property putting the resident at risk.
“We take breaches like this very seriously and work hard to protect our communities from this kind of anti-social behaviour and drug misuse.”
