Amir has pulled his children out of school as he fears they ll be targeted because of his work with Australia.
Constantly moving homes and changing his appearance, he tries to protect himself from those who may want to do him harm because he seen as someone who has assisted the West.
“Everybody is concerned in our country - especially those people that are working with the foreigners,” he told SBS News.
“Maybe tomorrow, maybe one week, maybe after one year the Taliban will come.”

He says he regularly spent nights in the desert with the Australians, interpreting between villagers and the diggers as well Afghan soldiers in training near the capital.
“We were just soldiers without guns and we helped them out in the fields,” he says.
The 29-year-old has spent more than a decade helping foreign forces in Afghanistan - and that s made him a prime target for militant and terrorist groups hostile to the presence of the ‘invaders’.
To the Taliban and other groups, Afghans like Samiullah are considered traitors and spies. ....

Australia Avoids Reckoning With Afghanistan War Crimes Allegations

The Inspector-General of the Australian Defense Force Afghanistan (IGADF) Inquiry Report, commonly known as the Brereton Report, released in November 2020, detailed how Australian special forces in Afghanistan had committed at least 39 illegal killings. 
The report’s findings, while not a surprise to most Afghans, shook Australia’s defense community and the government, and further diminished Australia’s role in the region. The report, while redacted, detailed how the killings were the result of “criminal behaviour” that was “commenced, committed, continued and concealed at the patrol commander level.”
The Inspector-General concluded that it is “the most disgraceful episode in Australia’s military history.”  ....
