General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA‑ASI) announces its plan to take a company-owned SkyGuardian Remotely Piloted Aircraft to the United Kingdom later this year to undertake a series of operational capability demonstrations for NATO allies, including the Netherlands. The UK’s Protector program is a derivative of SkyGuardian with a range of UK modifications and the Royal Air Force (RAF) is supporting this visit.

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA‑ASI) announces its plan to take a company-owned SkyGuardian Remotely Piloted Aircraft to the United Kingdom later this year to undertake a series of operational capability demonstrations for NATO allies, including the Netherlands. The UK’s Protector program is a derivative of SkyGuardian with a range of UK modifications and the Royal Air Force (RAF) is supporting this visit.

This will build on previous GA-ASI demonstrations showcasing the unmanned advantage, which include the transatlantic flight of SkyGuardian in 2018, maritime demonstrations in Greece in 2019 and last year’s validation flights in Japan ....

In a significant move, last October, India and the US had inked the landmark defence pact Basic Exchange and Cooperation Agreement (BECA) BECA. With this agreement in place, the two countries can share high-end military technology, geospatial maps and classified satellite data between their militaries.
The BECA gives a new dimension to the Indo-US relationship and it allows India to use the US geospatial maps. These will help in increasing the accuracy of weapons, including automated hardware systems and cruise-ballistic missiles. Upward trajectory of India-US strategic partnership has bipartisan backing: Aerospace leader
WASHINGTON, Feb 1: The upward trajectory of India-US strategic partnership has a bipartisan backing, top Indian-American aerospace and defence leader Vivek Lall has said, expecting this trend to continue under the Biden administration.
The US-India relations in the present day are the result of decades of dedicated efforts by both the countries to overcome the traditional regional mindsets and economic goals, Lall, the chief executive of General Atomics Global Corporation, said in an interview.
“This is validated by the volume of trade and technology transfer existing today between the two largest democracies in the world. It is universally recognised that India and the US are natural partners and have similar aspirations for betterment of the world order. We fully expect this trend to continue,” he said ahead of the Aero India show in Bengaluru this week. ....
