Just hours after thousands of residents experienced massive technical issues while trying to sign up for a vaccine clinic, Riverside County has announced it will change its website.

The county made 3,900 appointments available Thursday at noon. However when residents went to sign-up, many were met with a blank white 504 error code page. Others who were able to get into the website filled out pages of registration forms only to find that the appointments had been filled. ....

Riverside County to update vaccination website after residents experience problems
RIVERSIDE, Calif. - Riverside County has opened six new COVID-19 vaccination clinics and plans to update its website after thousands of residents were met with problems when booking appointments on Thursday.
Officials say the website ruhealth.org had a technical issue in the website code that was uncovered at that time of opening 3,900 appointments for weekend vaccine clinics.
Appointments at six additional vaccination clinics announced by Riverside County this week were booked in under an hour, according to a news release.
The additional sites opened for vaccines include the Indio Fairgrounds, the Perris Fairgrounds, and Diamond Stadium in Lake Elsinore which is strictly being used to inoculate seniors 65 and older. ....

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA It was another frustrating day for residents hoping to get an appointment at a Riverside County-operated COVID-19 vaccination clinic.
Residents were allowed to sign up at noon Thursday to receive one of 3,900 COVID-19 vaccine doses to be administered at a series of county-run clinics, but all appointments were quickly taken.
During the sign-up process, the county s website crashed multiple times due to the number of people attempting to book appointments. Patch heard from dozens of disappointed community members who tried for hours to log onto the county site, only to learn that all appointments were filled. ....
