Consumers have made at least one permanent lifestyle change in pandemic times: Accenture Survey

Rise in online shopping even from infrequent online shoppers
The pandemic has influenced the the way consumers live, work and socialise and shop. According to a survey by Accenture, after a year of lockdowns, 98 per cent of survey respondents in India said they made at least one change to their lifestyle that they expect will be permanent. As consumers are working from home, changing travel patterns or shopping more locally, companies will need to fundamentally rethink how they cater to the pandemic-adapted consumer, the survey report added.
More than 9,650 people in 19 countries including more than 500 in India participated in this survey which stated that some of the shifts could be long term. ....

68% of British firms expect activity to rise, while 11% saw a fall, according to Accenture survey
British businesses are more likely to expect a rebound in activity this year than their counterparts abroad, and expectations of a pick-up in growth are stronger than at any point since 2015, a survey showed on Monday.
The global poll of 12,000 manufacturers and services providers, conducted three times a year for consultants Accenture by data company IHS Markit, showed 68% of British firms expected activity to rise, while 11% saw a fall. ....
