LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM)   As of Wednesday, May 5, the state’s official COVID-19 tracking website shows that 867,341 Michigan residents have tested positive for the coronavirus.
Since March 10, when the first death was reported, 18,338 Michiganders have died from the acute respiratory illness.
A Breakdown of COVID-19 Data
The 24-hour data increase shows that 1,992 more people have contracted the virus. In addition, there were 99 new deaths, but 32 of those were identified by reviewing vital records.
On Saturday, May 23 the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services also announced changes to how COVID-19 testing data is reported to make it more accurate and relevant as the state continues to expand diagnostic testing. ....

Since March 10, when the first death was reported, 17,939 Michiganders have died from the acute respiratory illness.

LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM)   As of Tuesday, May 4, the state’s official COVID-19 tracking website shows that 851,947 Michigan residents have tested positive for the coronavirus.
Since March 10, when the first death was reported, 17,897 Michiganders have died from the acute respiratory illness.
A Breakdown of COVID-19 Data
The 24-hour data increase shows that 2,527 more people have contracted the virus. In addition, there were 126 new deaths, although 51 of those were identified in vital record reviews.
