UK: PGS starts Faroe-Shetland Basin rejuvenation

UK: PGS starts Faroe-Shetland Basin rejuvenation
17 Mar 2021
PGS is reprocessing ca.
8,000 sq km of 3D data West of Shetland. This region has seen major exploration successes but also challenges related to subsurface structure and stratigraphy. Fully migrated 3D data will provide an improved and consistent regional geological perspective. The results will be ready in January 2022.
The
2021 PGS MegaSurveyPlus rejuvenation project targets data covering ca 8,000 sq km west of Shetland, including GeoStreamer multisensor data acquired in 2013 and 2015. The GeoStreamer component adds content with a very high signal-to-noise ratio and a broad bandwidth into a data mix of various vintages. PGS has an excellent track record in this type of broadband reprocessing using the latest imaging workflows. ....

CONOR NORRIS: Universal recognition will be big win for Mississippi

After the Senate passed House Bill 1263 a couple weeks ago, the House recently concurred and sent the bill to the governor’s desk. When this bill is signed into law, it will be a huge win for Mississippi. Sponsored by Rep. Becky Currie, HB 1263 would recognize occupational licenses from other states, making it easier for professionals to move to Mississippi.
As more people become accustomed to working remotely due to COVID-19, the physical location of people performing work is less important than ever before. As physical location no longer presents a barrier in many industries, the competition between states for workers will only intensify. This competition will require a regulatory environment that makes it easy for people to relocate to their state, which HB 1263 would do. ....

San Leon Energy provides operational update
16 Mar 2021
San Leon Energy, the independent oil and gas production, development and exploration company focused on Nigeria, has provided an operational update.
OML 18
In common with many oil and gas projects, operational activity on OML 18 remains low whilst OPEC quota restrictions are in place. In addition, appropriate budget restrictions have been implemented which are designed to preserve cash. Eroton, the operator of OML 18, anticipates the startup of the Alternative Crude Oil Evacuation System ( ACOES ) project, which is expected to positively impact production, further details of which are set out below.
During the course of this year, San Leon is due to receive, under the Loan Note instrument which governs the loan it made at the time of its investment in OML 18, its final payments of over US$98 million in three equal instalments, commencing in July 2021 and completing by December 2021 .  Midwestern Oil & Gas ....

Former Westside teacher, student say former principal deserves greater discipline
By Hannah Campbell | March 15, 2021 at 7:05 PM CDT - Updated March 16 at 5:22 AM
JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - One former Westside High School teacher and student say that Michael Graham deserves more than a $500 fine and one year suspended license. They believe he should never be allowed to have a career in education again after unethical actions and suspected drug use.
“It was a really bad working environment when he was there, and for him to get a slap on the wrist from basically the ethics board or whatever, I believe that he does not need to work in a school system anymore. He does not need to have children, teenagers, anybody,” said Sherri Patel. ....
