Beautiful Plots: Israel Sabotages The Natanz Nuclear Facility

Tuesday, 13 April 2021, 3:29 pm
Over the weekend, Iran marked National Nuclear Technology
Day. The stars of the show were going to be new advanced
centrifuges at the Natanz uranium enrichment plant.
Unfortunately, the stars did not shine and President Hassan
Rouhani and his officials were left with a reminder of the
previous time the centrifuges at Natanz crashed. In 2010, a
joint US-Israeli operation
against Iran’s nuclear program is said to have destroyed a
fifth of the Iranian centrifuges, using the Stuxnet
virus.
A sequence of events have been viewed
cumulatively as suggesting that this was no error of
engineering so much as plain sabotage. Israel was again the ....

New ITUC Report On Palestinian Workers In Israel And The Settlements

has revealed the
scandalous exploitation of Palestinian workers who work
inside Israel and in the illegal Israeli settlements on
Palestinian land.
High unemployment in the
West Bank and Gaza is leaving Palestinians with little
alternative to taking jobs in Israel and the settlements.
More than 130,000 people try to earn a living in this
way.
The report exposes the reality of:
low
wages;
the humiliation of having to queue at border
crossings to enter Israel;
gaps in social
protection;
and the oppressive labour broker system
that many workers are still forced to use, even though the
system has been removed by the Israeli authorities in the ....

Good News On Euro-Med Monitor's Joint Efforts Towards Ceasing Human Rights Violations – March 2021

Monday, 5 April 2021, 4:53 am
As of the end of March 2021, as the world is still
struggling to contain the Coronavirus pandemic, some
governments are still taking advantage of the states of
emergency to crack down on activists and opponents. Not to
mention, the pandemic has not prevented the continuation of
armed attacks on civilians in the Arab world over the last
year, while rates of domestic violence have increased
dramatically due to home quarantine measures and their
consequences.
However, despite the continuing
large-scale violations in the Middle East and North Africa
(MENA), it is important to recognize the small steps that ....

UN Envoy Warns Of 'Dramatic' Deterioration In Yemen Conflict

Wednesday, 17 March 2021, 5:26 pm
The UN’s top official in Yemen has warned of a
“dramatic” deterioration in the country’s ongoing
conflict, telling the Security Council on Tuesday that
fighting has expanded on several fronts amid the world’s
worst humanitarian crisis.
Special Envoy Martin
Griffiths
reported that “the war is back in full force”, with
Ansar Allah, commonly referred to as the Houthis, continuing
an offensive in Marib. The northern governorate had
previously been relatively unaffected in the fighting, now
in its seventh year, but the violence is putting civilians,
including more than one million displaced people, at
risk. ....

At HRC: Euro-Med Monitor Says Thousands Of Migrant Workers Left UAE Due To Discrimination

Thursday, 18 March 2021, 7:49 am
Geneva – Thousands of migrant workers
have left the UAE after losing their jobs, as they were
subjected to discriminatory measures during the economic
crisis caused by the Coronavirus pandemic considering lack
of appropriate government support measures, the
Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor and IRDG said in
joint speech at the Human Rights Council 46th
session.
Making up about 90% of the total workforce in
the country, migrant workers have been suffering from formal
discriminatory practices in the field of health care and
arbitrary labor laws, since the outbreak of the
pandemic.
Delivered by Euro-Med Monitor researcher
Thomas William, the speech said that while the state ....
