Obaseki: Oshiomhole says conflict unfortunate, Ize-Iyamu pleads for 14 lawmakers

IMMEDIATE past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole, and the APC candidate in the September 19, 2020, Edo State Governorship election, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, have appealed to Governor Godwin Obaseki, to be magnanimous in victory.
They appealed to Obaseki to consider a political solution to the case involving members-elect of the State Assembly who failed to present themselves for inauguration.
In his letter to Obaseki, which was made public by Oshiomhole’s media aide, Victor Oshioke, in Benin, on Monday, the former APC national chairman urged the governor to put the past behind. ....

The Benue State Security Council, SSC, has ordered the feuding youths of neighbouring Bonta and Ukpute communities in Konshisha and Oju Local Government Areas, LGAs, of the state respectively, to fish out the criminal elements amongst them to pave the way for lasting peace in the area.
It would be recalled that the crisis in both communities recently claimed the lives of 12 military personnel on peace mission in the area. ....

Ndudi Elumelu for empowering his constituents.
The empowerment scheme formally launched on Saturday at the Cenotaph, Asaba, Delta State capital featured the public presentation of several household items.
The items included a total number of 111 electricity generating sets, 90 deep freezers, 148 motorcycles and 107 tricycles to 350 beneficiaries.
In his speech at the occasion, Elumelu who is representing Aniocha Oshimili federal constituency of the State said the items were to assist in raising the living standard of the people. ....
