NORTH BERWICK, Scotland (AP) — Min Woo Lee of Australia made a 10-foot birdie putt on the first extra hole to win a three-way playoff against Matt Fitzpatrick and Thomas Detry at the Scottish Open on Sunday for his second European Tour title.
Lee closed with a 7-under 64 and was the first to finish at 18-under 268 at The Renaissance Club, which featured a 90-minute weather delay late in the final round.
Detry (67) and Fitzpatrick (67) each made par on the 18th to join him in the playoff.

LAKE TAHOE, Calif./Nev. - Some familiar names from the world of sports and entertainment are on top of the leader board after round two of the American Century Championship at Lake Tahoe. Former pitcher John Smoltz eagled the 18th hold to take the lead at Edgewood Tahoe after a 26-point second round for a total of 51 points. He’s looking for his first win in 11 tries at the American Century Championship.
Another person who has never won at the tournament is retired basketball player and coach Vinny Del Negro who currently sits in second after a 26-point second round for a total of 49 points. He is also looking for his first win in his 20th American Century Championship appearance.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Nev. (AP) — Hall of Fame hockey player Mike Modano holed out from 205 yards on the par-5 18th Friday for the first albatross in American Century Championship history and a share of the first-round lead with John Smoltz.
“I can’t believe it! I can’t believe it!” Modano said “My eyesight is shot at 51. So I’m, like, `I can’t see things halfway off the club.′ (Playing partner T.J. Oshie) went crazy. And some people over by the side went nuts. I was like, man, `That may have went in.′ So, pretty cool.”

STATELINE, Nev. — The first day of the American Century Championship came to a close with baseball great John Smoltz and Hall of Fame hockey player Mike Modano tied for the lead with 25 points.
Smoltz was paired with Joe Buck and Joe Mauer, a group he said was a lot of fun to play with.
Last year, Smoltz had the most pars, something he wasn’t proud of. This year, he turned it around by bagging five birdies in the first round. If Smoltz wins, he’d be the oldest champion.

LAKE TAHOE, Nev. - Most golfers will never have one, and its never happened during the 32-year history of the American Century Championship. NHL Hall of Famer Mike Modano pulled off the almost impossible albatross - three below par on the par 5 18th hold at Edgewood Tahoe on Friday.
Modano, who spent most of his career with the Minnesota North Stars and the Dallas Stars, holed out a 205 yard 7-iron on the 501-yard 18th hole for an albatross. It earned 10 points in the Modified Stableford scoring format to vault Modano into a tie for the lead at 25 points with MLB Hall of Famer John Smoltz.
