Norman singer-songwriter to present virtual concert Feb. 11 for Arcadia Round Barn

ARCADIA Norman singer-songwriter Gregg Standridge will present a virtual concert to benefit the Arcadia Round Barn from 8 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
The concert can be found on the Arcadia Round Barn Facebook page and is part of the Virtual Barn series of live streamed concerts, which continue every Thursday night through April 22.
Standridge, who holds a master’s degree in classical guitar performance, said his musical compositions are mostly from his own experiences. He has played with such bands as “Terry Buffalo Ware and the Shambles,” “The Sunday Flyers” and “Gregg Standridge and Sacred Holler.

Teen Arrested After Calling Police To Retrieve Fake Texas ID Card

This is one of those stories that I hope you both take a lesson from - and don t need to take a lesson from because you already know it doesn t make much sense.
A teen in Edmond, Oklahoma found herself behind bars after calling the police to get her ID back from a bar in the Sooner state. The problem, however, is that her ID wasn t hers at all. It was a fake ID used to get into the bar, and yes, this girl called the police to help her get it back.
Seriously.
18-year-old Blakelee Sands called the Edmond police saying that the bar refused to give her her ID back. According to KOKH, when officers arrived, the bar turned over the ID with the name McKamie Queen . ....

Capt. Jeffrey Morefield, an Oklahoma National Guardsman and police officer in his local community of Edmond, returned from a deployment in the Middle East in August 2020. When he got back, Morefield was shocked by the effect of the pandemic on brick-and-mortar stores, so he decided to donate his entire stimulus check to a local café, according to the National Guard.
“I didn’t feel like I deserved it,” Morefield said in a news release. “The stimulus in my mind was to try and help people who have not had a job, laid off or for businesses to try and help survive. For me, I’ve had a check the entire time. I felt a sense of guilt if I was to accept the stimulus check.” ....
