Patricia Clarkson is set to portray Lilly Ledbetter, the fair pay pioneer for whom President Obama named a piece of legislation in 2009.
The “Sharp Objects” Emmy winner will lead “Lilly,” a new indie feature from director Rachel Feldman. The script was co-written by Feldman and Adam Prince (“Junglee”), from producer J. Todd Harris (“TheTrial of The Chicago 7,” “The Kids Are All Right”).

The show, titled “Roar,” will star Nicole Kidman, Cynthia Erivo, Merrit Wever, and Alison Brie. The anthology is described as a series of darkly comic feminist fables. It is based on Cecilia Ahern’s book of short stories of the same name. Apple has ordered eight half-hour episodes.

Endeavor Content will produce for Apple. The show is the first to come out of Flahive and Mensch’s new overall deal with the streamer. The duo created the series and will serve as showrunners and executive producers. Kidman and Per Saari will executive produce via Blossom Films. Bruna Papandrea, Steve Hutensky, and Allie Goss will executive produce on behalf of Made Up Stories. Papandrea and Kidman previously collaborated on the hit HBO shows “Big Little Lies” and “The Undoing.” ....

All Rights Teams With Deepfake App Reface for Gulliver Returns Market Launch

Hong Kong- and Paris-based sales company All Rights Entertainment has teamed up with the Reface face-swapping app to launch high-profile indie animation “Gulliver Returns” at the European Film Market.
The English-language film was initially launched for pre-sales at the American Film Market in November 2019. It was completed last month at the Animation Studio 95 in Ukraine and will make its debut as a finished movie at the EFM, with a market screening on Tuesday.
