Uniting Africa: A lesson from Canada

Many people in East Africa have never actualised the profits of the East African Community. Today, I’ll use Canada’s confederacy to show what Africa can unite. Canada’s confederacy brings together 10 provinces and three territories with the population of approximately 40 million people. Canada is one of the richest countries on earth.
If Canada were to be divided into 13 countries, its economic clout would vaporise right away. With three territories and 10 provinces, Canada would give birth to 13 trifling countries, which would throw billions of dollars onto military budgets and purchasing weapons to protect themselves against their neighbours, who happen to be Canadians. If all African states could divulge their military budgets, it is obvious that they have what it takes to finance their own development and social services. Arguably, Africa is capable of improving the lives of its people by just spending billions of dollars it ....

English footall is uniting to boycott social media for four days in response to relentless online abuse of players.
The blackout of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram will begin next Friday UKT and last until Monday, covering a full round of games in the men s and women s professional leagues.
It will be undertaken by the FA, Premier League, English Football League, Women s Super League, Women s Championship as well as player, manager and referee bodies, and anti-discrimination group Kick It Out. ....

Quito, Jan 29 (Prensa Latina) Ecuador s former President Rafael Correa stressed on Friday the importance of progressivism and collective action, when the world is fighting against the Covid-19 pandemic plagued by systems based on individualism.
The reflection was part of his speech at the 5th Meeting of the Puebla Group, an organization of Ibero-America and the Caribbean, formed by 49 leaders from 15 countries.
Latin America has reacted very poorly to the pandemic crisis, the former president assured at the virtual meeting, noting that the region has eight percent of the world s population, but 30 percent of the world s Covid-19 cases. ....
