“Then Jonathan made a covenant with David, because he loved him as his own soul. 4 And Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was on him and gave it to David, and his armor, and even his sword and his bow and his belt. 5 And David went out and was successful….   1 Samuel 18: 3-5
If I could turn back the time and redo a day this year, it would be Friday, February 5, 2021. This is the day my best friend in the media profession Felix Mponda died. Passed away. Gone. His death on this day, six hours after I had responded to his WhatsApp post in the Veteran Journalists WhatsApp Forum, reduced me to howling, hurt, in great pain, anguished, and in massive grief, shock, and torment beyond measure. Much of my despair was due to the fact that in these past years every time I was this devastated, it was Felix to whom I turned. ....

The leading countries in which most of these professionals seek to reside, going by the latest MoveHub global survey, are the United Kingdom, Australia, US, Spain, Canada, France, New Zealand, Germany, Ireland and Portugal. At number 16, the only African country on the list is South Africa. According to the survey, “the majority chose better job prospect ....

From Tehelka Archives January 22, 2002 – US victory over India: Two incidents, single purpose

December 31, 2020
There is a post -Clausewitzian military axiom that says that no longer is a war won on the battlefield with men and materiel: it is won when the victor successfully imposes his ideology on the vanquished. And that is a more enduring and fulfilling victory.
America’s wipeout ideological conquest of the subcontinent required inputs from various fronts: the first prong was globalisation and pro-US acculturation this is already so firmly in place that much of urban India is today really wannabe Little America; the second prong was getting the Indian government to do the US’ military bidding pronto and without protest and this the Bush Administration accomplished yesterday by getting the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) to summarily transfer Lt Gen Kapil Vij from his post as commander of 2 Corps, one of India’s three strike corps, ostensibly because an American spy satellite had caught him deploying his corps into battle formation close to the India-P ....
